Today was GORGEOUS!!! Sunny for the most part, high around 80. We had lots of overcast and a slight bit of sprinkling later on. It was still very pleasant even with the clouds. It's finally feeling like May instead of March!
We hit the ground running today. Mike met his friends at the civil war battlefield for their Saturday morning jog. He put in 6 miles, while I took the kids garage sale-ing (is that a word?). After coming home, I made lunch for everyone and cleaned the kitchen. Naptime for the kiddos followed. Natalie has a cold or allergies of some sort. I've been suctioning her nose all day. Poor baby.
After naps, we went to a birthday party in the neighborhood. Two of our neighbors have boys that were born 1 day apart from one another. They live next door to each other and are best friends. They also conveniently live in a cul-de-sac, so the whole cul-de-sac was blocked off for the party. The boys turn 3 next week, and this was a major blowout complete with bounce house, a city made of cardboard refrigerator boxes, and lots of bbq. It was a construction theme, and all the kids were given homemade orange vests. Even Natalie had one custom made for her. Too cute!
Andrew and I jumped in the bounce house a lot. It was so much fun, and he thought it was cool that mama was jumping with him. It didn't take me long to figure out that my gymnastics days are O-V-E-R. Ha ha! I tried to do a cartwheel/flip thingy in the bounce house and almost didn't leave in one piece. At one point, I tried to get Andrew out of there, and we both slid/fell backwards down the entrance ramp. I landed on my back with feet in the air while holding Andrew. It didn't hurt though and was pretty funny. He wanted to do it again.
We came home and gave the kids some much needed baths. They fell right to sleep with no problem. Hee hee.
