Avoiding the Housework

Well, the house looks like a bomb went off inside, but what's new?

I've been busy, but not with housework. The kids and I started the day off at the Y. I missed spin class (again) so opted for the elliptical machine and some free weights. Worked on the ol' arms today. We then went to Target for my Mother's Day skirt and some other necessary evils. The kiddos slept while I washed our very dirty Blazer. (It didn't help that I took it 4 wheeling the other day to get some rocks for our landscaping.) I then made dinner: rotisserie chicken, rosemary/onion potatoes, and corn. Mike ran 6 miles today while I made dinner.

Our friend Jen called and invited us to Miller's for Mother's Day lunch. Miller's is a REAL country restaurant. It's about 30 minutes from here, but the people I know who've been there rave about the food. They serve awesome country cuisine, including things like grits, fried okra, and frog legs. Yes...frog legs. I have no intention of trying the frog legs (ranks up there with escargot) or the grits, but I am super excited to go there for the other stuff.

Natalie doesn't care much for her rice cereal. We're on Day 2. She actually seems a little offended by it, so I may just wait another week or so before trying again. Doc Perkins said anytime between 4-6 months, so I think we have some time.

Andrew was a TOTAL booger during dinner tonight. He acts up terribly when we're having dinner. I know it's an attention thing, but it is driving us nuts!!! Hopefully this will end soon. He was an angel all day otherwise. Grrrrrr.
