Today was baptism day for lil' ol' me. Mike and our small group leader Herb did the honors. Mike resisted the urge to hold me down while I was under. Ha ha! Fortunately my testimony was recorded on video about a week ago, so I just had to hop in a very warm tub and wait for it to finish playing.
After church, we came home to a well-prepared meal of Taco Bell. The kids napped and I went to a wedding shower for our friends Jason and Amanda. Do you know how long it's been since I've been to a wedding shower? It's been nothing but baby showers for the past 4 years or so.
It was pork chops and rice for dinner, then an evening trip to Books A Million (sort of like Borders or Barnes and Noble). Books A Million has a train table for the kids, so it's Andrew's favorite hangout.
Weather today was pretty nuts. It started out cool with lots of really loud thunder. It poured like mad right before we left for church. By about noon, the rain had stopped but it was super ick outside. Muggy, but not too hot. We just were expecting cold when we walked out, and it was gross instead.
That's it for our day. How was yours?
