Puppy Love Andrew

I've heard that some kids regress after the birth of a sibling, but this is downright ridiculous.

Without warning, our beloved son Andrew has decided that he is now a dog. Yes...a dog. He started watching Lady and the Tramp (a perfectly harmless movie by most people's standards), and he came away from it acting like a dog. Lovely.

He barks all the time and howls while we're in the car...or outside...at the gym...and Wal-Mart, or any grocery store for that matter. He tries to eat his dinner without utensils, or hands. It's a face-in-the-plate affair for him. Oh, and the best part is when he wants to go outside. He'll scratch at the door and bark like Chloe does. And then there's the chewing and the sniffing.
AAAUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!

No one ever prepared me for these little "phases" of childhood. No one ever said that I had to check my pride at the door once my child entered the formative pre-school years. Thanks for NOTHING guys! You may see the humor or cuteness in this, but it's NOT YOUR KID. That's why it's cute!

I still consider myself blessed in a sick sort of way. Andrew hasn't caught on to the joy of publicly declaring his bowel movements, or commenting loudly on mommy or daddy's body parts. And Thank You JESUS for not letting him point out the differences in people's color or size!! When should I expect this to happen? One month? Two? Hmmmm. You'll see it here when it does.

As for now, amidst my bewilderment and embarrassment, I am doing what I can to cope with and correct the behavior. This may be a good thing, as we are sure to steer clear from the finer eating establishments for awhile.

That is absolutely HILARIOUS!! And yes, you can expect him to point out the other differences in time to come :) Hold on for a fun ride!

I agree with Jenna, that is hilarious, of course I'm sure you don't feel that way when you're in public! Sorry girl, hopefully it will be a short lived phase.. Parker barks, but only to other animals.. :) LOL
