The truck won't start. I think it's the battery. I called Stace (our mechanic), and he said that's his assessment as well.

And the water softener is on bypass again. Our cleaning helped it tremendously, and it worked for a week or so. We have one more small part to clean before we throw in the towel. We might also try different salt. This last time (just before all the problems started), I bought salt pellets instead of crystals. I'm wondering if they're softer and mushier when wet...maybe causing it to clog the system? I don't know.

I'm tired of troubleshooting problems. The remainder of Mike's paycheck (which is actually 32 hours...not 24) should be here "sometime next week". MetLife and Verizon are paper pushing back and forth, while we wait ever so patiently. If it's not here, at least we have another paycheck coming on Friday.
