Shy???

My daughter. She's SHY? Are you serious?

I just realized this today for sure. Around the family, Natalie will talk up a storm, ham it up, and show her one dimple. If we're around, she'll talk to others without missing a beat.

Today, I had a Mega Sports Camp workday. A couple of friends from church watched our team's kids for us. When I came to pick up Natalie, the report was, "I think she said all of three words the entire time she was here." She was there for an hour and a half, and she knows my friends who kept her. I asked if they thought she had fun, and they said, "oh yeah...we were playing games, had snack, played around. She seemed happy, just quiet."

This is the second time I've heard this type of thing. Apparently she's the same way in her church class too. She just keeps to herself. Granted, I'm a lot like that. Talkative to those I know well, but keeping to myself otherwise. Mike also did a lot of 'quiet play' as a child as well.

I'm not sure why this surprises me. I always figured she was outgoing and gregarious all the time.
