One Last Post

I'm on a roll tonight. Look at all these posts just from today!

We recently found out that our new pastor and his family will be purchasing a house 6 doors behind us. (They are relocating from Denver, CO). I am really excited about the new changes we will see in our church, and it's always cool to have neighbors who share similar beliefs, BUT Mike and I couldn't help but begin to fret about our current lifestyle and some of the possible changes that we should consider. Although we are leaders at our church, we are pathetically human...what we refer to as "real" or "normal".

I have posted the Motz Ten Commandments to my mom's board, but I will put them here for those who aren't able to see it there.

And for what it's worth, I am sure David has heard all sorts of "uh-oh, the pastor's living next door to us" jokes. Here goes:

1) Thou shalt not cuss, especially at the top of one's lungs at the other. -OR-
2) Insulate the house better.
3) The borderline white trash antics of yelling at our kids while outside needs to cease. Inside might be ok if #2 is performed properly.
4) The lawn shall be mowed more frequently. (Not sure why this came to mind, but for some reason it did. Ha ha.)
5) Keep house cleaner. Never know when to expect visitors now.
6) No more beer toting in the backyard, frontyard, or while on walks. Would a brown bag suffice?
7) Clean up the language. Yes, I already mentioned it, but I will need to be reminded FREQUENTLY.
8) I'm having a problem with the "Thou shalt not steal" thing...does borrowing lawn equipment from neighbors for a year still count as borrowing or has it somehow become stolen property along the way?
9) Double check that blinds are closed before dressing, scratching one's self, or engaging in anything else unmentionable while next to the window.
10) Note to Self: buy some sort of window covering for back door. (They'll be moving in behind our fenceless backyard.)
