When it Rains...

...it Pours.

That's how the saying goes, and that's how Saturday went for us. My neighbor, friend, and I had a garage sale and awoke to pounding rain and lightening. Looking at our trusty weather radar (God bless the internet), we saw that it would pass within the hour. We set up anyway and did ok. We made about $180, $100, and $200 respectively.

I should have made more. Please allow me to indulge in an Eeyore moment.

Mike is doing well, but he wrapped the Corolla around a tree on his way to school. The roads were too slick as he came around a corner. Here's a picture of his handiwork:

When he does something he does it well. I just wish he would have chosen to take the Blazer on his seek-and-destroy mission. God sure does have a funny sense of humor sometimes.

We have insurance, but there's a $500 deductible. It has to be done though because the oil pan hit a rock on the way into the tree, so now there is oil leaking. The hood might open, but we're pretty sure it won't close if we attempt it. Coincidentally, this was the only air conditioned vehicle that we own. That's ok though...cars can be fixed, people can't. Mike is now thinking that he has a minor case of whiplash (or that he slept wrong), so I'm making him go to the doctor soon just to be sure.

Aside from that, life is great! We're headed out the door to a friend's house for a church thing, so I'll catch up on more issues later.

Wow, that is definitely a banged up car. Thank god Mike was ok. I didn't realize you didn't have air in your blazer! YUCK! Hopefully you will find a way to get things fixed with the least amount of cost!

That really sucks about the car, but thankfully Mike is ok. Hope he didn't get whiplash and you can get the car fixed soon!
