Oh, sorry...today I took the kids to pick blueberries at a blueberry farm. I met up with Roxy, Lisa S., Stacie, and Heather P. Andrew and I picked 3.17 pounds for $2.50/pound. Kroger sells fresh-ish blueberries for $3.85 or so per pound. My plan is to freeze them and use them for random recipes. Lisa S. gave me her blueberry cheesecake protein shake recipe, so I'll probably use them mainly for that. I'm not a big blueberry person normally.
Prior to leaving this morning, I asked Andrew if he wanted to go pick blueberries. He said "Yes...hold on" and ran downstairs. By the time I got to him, he was already in the freezer. He was rooting around in there trying to find my store-bought blueberries. I guess that's where he thought blueberries came from. Too funny!
We had a lot of fun picking berries. Lisa hung out with Natalie in the shade so Andrew and I could spend some time together. Andrew loved picking berries! I got pretty obsessive about it too. It's great therapy if it weren't so dang hot and humid! Here are some pictures:
