A Quick Update

Trying not to fall off the blog-wagon. Here's a quick update:

Natalie has strep throat. She's had a fever since Saturday. I thought it was from her two year molars. (The dentist on Friday said they were still coming in). She also complained of tummy pain, which I thought was due to her not pooping regularly. Thank God my friend Meredith casually mentioned that her daughter had the same symptoms and it turned out to be strep throat. Sure enough, this was the case. Alie started antibiotics today, and will hopefully be much happier soon. I'm so glad I kept her with me at church on Sunday. I would feel horrible if we started off an outbreak of strep in the 1s and 2s room. Eak!

Andrew is bored off his butt. Having a sick sister has really cramped his lifestyle, poor kid. But there's no way we can go anywhere to play right now. We can't go to a friend's, or invite one over for that matter. It is SO hot right now, outside isn't an option.
I registered Andrew for Kindergarten yesterday. I can't believe it! The task was not made easier when I opened a mystery folder on our computer the other day. It was pictures of a 15 month old Andrew at the park. I cannot believe how much he's grown! Registration went smoothly, but Andrew was very sad that he didn't meet his teacher or see his room. I told him that we were there just to put his name on the list, and that they would give him a teacher once everybody signed up. Poor kid! Kindergarten starts in about 3 weeks.

Nathan started his belly laugh today. It was great too. I'm not sure what struck him as so funny. I was laying on my back, and had him on my tummy (facing me). I was also lifting him up in the air. He was laughing so hard that I was bracing myself for the inevitable laughpuke. Visions of sour milk spewing on my face scared me, but fortunately the worst I got was a drizzling of baby drool. He's SO slobbery! Andrew and Natalie got a huge kick out of seeing the baby laughing like that. We had him going for about 5 minutes or so before he started crying. Three months is a rough age, I suppose.
