Full Speed Ahead

Life was sort of quiet for a minute or three. I don't really know what happened to change that, but we have now found ourselves sucked into the abyss of hyper-scheduling. I could drone on and on here, but I'll spare you. To give you an idea of the past two weeks, we've attended three kids' birthday parties and hosted a baby shower. The next few weeks will bring us an onslaught of activities: planning our ROCCtoberfest for church, teaching a class at church (Growing Kids God's Way)...for 18 WEEKS!!!, Mike attending school, Kristen carting kids around and cleaning houses on the side. And then we try to keep up with our friends somewhere inbetween. Small group is supposed to start back up, and then there's knitting on Fridays. Oh vey!

I tell ya, there are simply not enough hours in the day, and not enough caffeine to pull it all off. All I can pray for is that I don't burn out. If I can make it through ROCCtoberfest, that would be cool. But then there's Christmas (which provides it's own short list of stressers). And then Alie turns 2 right after Christmas. We'll most likely take a trip to CA after that, and then we'll start choking on the details of Mega Sports Camp 2008. I envision my next break somewhere around June/July of next year.

One day at a time is the motto I'm going with right now. I think we'll just keep our heads down and put the pedal to the metal.
