Grrreat...

Today was a pretty good day on the kid front. Mike cooked dinner before going to his church meeting. The kids and I hung out with the neighbors. Everyone was pretty much happy. (Always a plus here).

On the way home from visiting with the neighbors, I noticed some water in the street. It was kind of muddy. Weird, but I didn't put much thought into it. A few minutes later, it was worse. I called my neighbor several doors down...where the source of the water was. I asked if she was watering her lawn, or if her hose was turned on by a neighbor kid. Nope. It was a broken water main. It's not the one that belongs to her house (her meter wasn't spinning like crazy), but the city's...I guess where the city's attaches to her line?

Anywho, it's now 9:30 at night and our neighbors are knocking on all of the doors to let people know that we'll have no water as of 7:00 am tomorrow morning. It'll be off for an indefinite length of time while they tear up the street and figure out what exactly happened. (Envision backhoes, lots of dirt, etc.)

Oh, I should be so lucky. Time to fill up any water containing vessel so we can flush the potty tomorrow. GRRRR.
