Our kids have nominated us for the Coolest Parents Ever award. That is, until they want something else and we say 'no'.
Why are we so awesome? For starters, we let the kids help us paint Nathan's room on Friday night. Well, Alie helped with the outlet covers (so she thinks).
Once little sister went to sleep, Andrew did all the outlet covers and painted. 
The next night (Saturday), we hosted the first Motz Kids Camp Out in Nathan's newly painted bedroom. The kids about lost their minds when we put up the tent. Even the dog thought it was cool, but she quickly bolted once we broke out the camera.
That same night, Mike, Andrew, and I painted the hills in the kids' bedroom. After Andrew went down, we used a projector and some Land Before Time images to sketch dinosaurs onto the walls.
My friend Heather came over today (Sunday) and helped me with the time-consuming chore of painting these cute little beasts. There's still a long way to go, but I am overjoyed with the results. I seriously could not have expected them to turn out like this:
