The first day went really well.
He was excited to go and was
fixated on getting his little hands on his backback and lunchbox.
When it was finally time to get in the car, he was all grins. I walked him in at 9:00 am and he was very quick to tell me goodbye. I was a little sad that he wanted me to leave so quickly, but then I realized how fortunate I was to have such an easygoing child. I was wondering how he would be come 2:30 as it's been over a year since he's been away from me for that length of time.
When I picked him up at 2:30, he was babbling all about the things he did at school. He barked like a dog on the playground (yes, we're STILL in the dog phase), played with PlayDoh, read The Kissing Hand, and did other various activities. They even taught the kids how to wash dishes. Needless to say, I'm overjoyed with the curriculum. He loved laying on his nap pad but didn't sleep. He ate his entire lunch and snack and was starving when I picked him up. They must really work him over there!
He didn't want to nap when we got home, but I knew better. I put a movie on and he was passed out in about 30 minutes. We had to wake his lazy butt up for dinner. Kids these days. Sheesh!

His other days at school have passed in much the same way. Each day they have a lesson, arts and crafts, scripture, reading/music, recess, lunch, etc. He and I have no regrets with his new job as student. I think he'll do really well there.
