Thursday was a crazy day in the neighborhood. Actually it started Wednesday with the ice cream man. By the way, he DIDN'T get arrested. He was trying to sell ice cream here the next freaking day!!! Mike and I have two reliable people who both SAW him taking pictures. I'm livid to say the least. Seriously, what do you do?
So we had the ice cream man fiasco, then the next morning one of our neighbors gave birth to her baby girl. The baby's name is Isabella Paiva (mom and dad are natives of Brazil). I haven't seen her yet, but she's 7 lbs, 5 oz and is 20 inches long. I can't wait to get my mitts on her! It seems like all the babies in our neighborhood are girls. That's great though because all of the preschoolers are boys. This will be one CRAZY place to live in another 10-12 years.
Then I found out that the lady who lives 3 doors behind us died a few nights before. I saw the ambulance out there around 3am on Tuesday, but it was Thursday when I found out what happened. She had complications from a recent surgery and just died. End of story. She was only 41. I don't know them, but they were the ones whose house got hit by lightning a year and a half ago and it took about 9 months to rebuild. (They had moved in 1 month prior to the lightning thing happening). I can't believe that so much has happened to them in such a short time. I'm not sure how to help them as we don't really know them and he has a ton of family over.
Someday things will get normal around here. It's hard to go from scared to happy to sad in such a short time.

WOW.. I guess the polive dont care that theres a wacko taking PICS OF KIDS! SICKOS..How in the world do we ever get anything done when they wont do anything!? arrrghgh..
Freaky about the n'bor and that they got struck last year too.. eek
I have seen Isabella, got pics thru the Mom's club email list.....LOL
Now I'm scared of the weirdos too. It's hard to write off that as nothing and I can't believe they didn't arrest him. OMG, I'd also never go out to see him or let him know I had a baby if possible. My mom has let Stephen get popcicles from our ice cream man but I never do. Now I have another reason (not to mention prices).
