To answer the questions about the Volvo. It's still running. We took it into the shop just after my last post about it. We went in expecting to pay $1,000 for repairs but were pleasantly surprised to pay only $700. That earned us some rotors, new tires, and a serpentine belt. We had about $400 left over and were planning to get the Blazer's air conditioning fixed for that price.
A week later, the Volvo turned OFF while Mike was driving. He was pushing on the gas pedal when the engine just stopped. Nice. A few days, a cam shaft something or other, and $460 later we were good to go. The Blazer's air will wait another season. It's going to cool off soon enough anyway. Bah!
Our consolation is the steel reinforced safety cage that protects us when we drive. Whoopeee. Not much of a help when it sits in the driveway. That's alright though. Nothing else is going to happen to it. I won't let anything else go wrong, dang it.
