No...still no baby. I'm feeling fine too. Thanks for wondering though. :)
I had a busy day today. We started out with church, and then I went to a baby shower that some church friends hosted for me. I then went immediately to our Financial Peace University class.
We are finally home, and I was going through some of the gifts that Nathan got. Andrew was looking in awe at this huge diaper cake that my friend Johna made. In the midst of nibbling on his peanut butter sandwhich and inspecting the diaper cake, he said, "Alie's my favorite baby."
His comment melted my heart...he does love her and it's so obvious in (most of) the ways he handles her. As a secondary reaction, I wondered how he was processing all of this "new baby" information. Is he scared? Hesitant? Curious? Everything he's told me thus far has illustrated himself as excited and happy about the upcoming change. I secretly wonder if he has a slight fear of the unknown.
I assured him that he may not know Nathan very well at first, but he will learn more about him each day and will love him just like he loves Alie. I commented on how exciting it will be to have a favorite brother and a favorite sister. He thought that was pretty cool.
