Relapse

I was so sure we wer on the upswing of things!

Andrew had a relapse of sorts this weekend. He had been healing from his first bout of leg pain. He still walked a little funny (different hip placement than normal), but I took him to be healing. On Saturday afternoon he started saying that his leg hurt. This time it was his other leg. We went through about 24 hours of the pain/crying/not walking/only wanting his stroller for transportation, but he is starting to walk a bit now.

He's so independent! This time around, he is wanting to do too many things too quickly (in my opinion at least). At least last time he was sick with other stuff, so I think that helped him lay down and rest more. But not this time. Oh no, his mind is sharp as ever and the boy has an agenda.

I'm pretty sure I'll keep him from school tomorrow. I just don't want him re-hurting himself by doing too much. We'll see how he feels in the morning. We're still paying for him to be there, even though he's not there. I need to call his school with an update, but I'm not really sure what to tell them. I don't know anything new at this point.

As I was walking out the door this evening to meet up with some friends, he started saying that his arm hurt. He wasn't using it much either. Then again, he had a balloon tied around his wrist and had been laying on that arm, so hopefully it just fell asleep or something and is totally unrelated to his leg issues. And of course this was at 6:15...just after his pediatrician's office closed.
