I've been slacking on my internet usage the past several days, but with good reason. The past several days have been busy. I hosted a Pampered Chef party one night, hosted a baby shower the other night, went to the movies with Mike and our small group on yet a different night. Add in the ceiling fans, dentist appointment, and laundry and there you go.
I tried out our new dentist yesterday. His name is Dr. Minyard and he's a California native. Grew up in Fresno and went to school in Stockton and San Francisco. We had lots to talk about. He's been here about 12 years (before this place even resembled a town). He confirmed my belief that I need a crown on molar #15. I knew about this a year ago, but had to wait until I delivered Natalie. I've been stalling ever since. He also broke the news that I need a root canal, and he referred me to an endodontist for that. Today I've been busy making appointments for the endodontist, then the dentist (for the crown portion), then for Andrew's dentist. I was on a roll.
While I was at it, I called our homeowners' insurance. Our neighbor just recently discovered that some people on the other end of our neighborhood are needing new roofs thanks to those hail storms/tornadoes that Tennessee had on April 7th. None of us thought to get our roofs checked out as the cars and siding had no damage. The hail was only 1 1/2 inches over here, so we didn't think much of it. ("Only" 1 1/2 inches is how the locals would put it.) I'm waiting for our insurance person to call us back for an inspection.
Oh, and our shower is STILL leaking. It's the one in our master bathroom. I've resealed the shower door twice, so I know it's not coming through the shower door. I think it's where the shower pan meets the fiberglass/fake tile stuff. I'm so frustrated because the only way to find out for sure is by ripping out the whole shower area. I know we'll have to replace sheetrock and we may as well change out the fake tile for something that works better. A lot of our neighbors are having similar problems, so I chalk it up to poopy craftsmanship. There's not much we can do besides suck it up and write a check. We have friends in the industry who can help us out with the labor, but we still have to buy the materials and deal with the headache of this. GRRRR.
In the time that it took me to type this, I've eaten about 7 Double Stuff Oreos. I just did the math and that is about 45% of my saturated fat allowance for the day. Oops. Life just isn't as fun when you start reading the nutrition labels.

LOL Kristen! I agree reading labels takes all the fun out of it!
What I wouldn't do for a double stuff oreo?? Do you know how long it's been???
Sorry your shower is still leaking-what a pain! Not to mention the dental work too. Hope all these money sucking events will quit for you soon-you've had too many as of late!
