We've been busy this month. Then again, who hasn't? December was rougher than usual. It all started out with a head cold that Mike found. That was Week One. He decided that it was something worth sharing with all of us. Andrew ended up with a double ear infection. That was Week Two. Week Three consisted of him recovering and Natalie coming down with said cold. By the end of the week, I had the full blown version of it. After a few days of dizziness and horrible congestion, I went to the doctor. I had a sinus infection and the beginnings of an ear infection. By the beginning of Week Four, I was feeling somewhat better and it was Christmas Eve. That was the day that Mike came down with the dreaded stomach virus that has no mercy. I quarantined him to our room and disinfected the entire house.
Christmas Day saw all four of us downstairs and enjoying the day. Mike was still feeling pretty poorly, but he was being a good sport. A few days later, he was fine and then I ended up with it.
Week Five put us at New Years. All of us were past our various ailments and we spent the evening with Ande and Jared...a couple from our church. They hosted a party at their house. Andrew ran around like a maniac licking the older women (7 year olds). It was pretty hysterical, even though the girls were gagging about it.
This evening I thought Natalie was coming down with an ear infection. Her doctor was open late and squeezed us in. One ear looks a little red, but they said if it were an infection, it was so slight that it didn't warrant antibiotics. Her Well Baby appointment is Monday anyway, so we can keep an eye on it. They weighed her though, and she now weighs 19 lbs, 1 oz! (She weighed 14 lb, something oz at her 9 month appointment). She'll be one year old on Saturday, so she's gained 4-5 pounds in 3 months. I'm so excited! This takes her from not even being on the growth chart to being in the 25th percentile. Whew!
