Coming Up for Air

This has been a crazy week. I'm just now getting a chance to catch my breath. Most of my blog readers know that Mike and I helped plan our church's fall festival this year. It took place on Sunday and was a lot of fun. (And a lot of work). Best estimates are that we had at least 500 people there. We were at Cannonsburgh Pioneer Village for 8 hours or so, setting up, running around like crazy, and tearing down. Tear down wasn't too bad because we got to roll around on the bounce houses to completely deflate them. It's not often you get to roll around on the ground with a bunch of your church pals.

We were very blessed to have my in-laws (Fred and Joanne) in town during all of this. They took the kids for us on Sunday. If we had to keep up with our kids, it wouldn't have been a good thing. The in-laws left today to go back to Colorado.

Halloween was last night (see previous post for photos). I got my hair colored and cut in the morning. During everyone's naptime, I wrote an update on our church website about the festival and finished up some e-bay shipping.

Oh, and I've been sick too. It started with a sore throat on Friday night and finally hit full force today. It's really only a cold, but I'm bitter about it right now. I have a ton of sinus pressure and ear pressure. Joy. I just bought some cold medicine tonight (along with a ton of other stuff at Kroger), so we'll see if this helps. Andrew and Natalie seem to have a minor touch of it, but we'll see how this pans out.

So now I feel like I'm babbling. I think it's the cold medicine talking. Even after a 2 hour nap today, I'm exhausted. I'm signing off to hit the sack.

Sorry to hear you are feeling bad, and the kids have a touch of it as well. Hope everyone is feeling better soon! Make sure to post pics of your 'do.
