This is one of the few times you'll see a happy fired person. I got laid off of the babysitting job from hell yesterday (the neighbor's 3 kids). Our neighbor is cutting back any expenses possible, and her hubby is just going to come home a little early those 2 days each week so that they don't have to pay me.
I feel like a weight has been completely lifted off of me. I was just telling Mike that I didn't think I could take much more of it, but I didn't know how to tell my neighbor. (I had been her last resort and felt bad for leaving her high and dry. Yes, there is a sympathetic person deep, deep, DEEP down inside of me). Well, yesterday she called me and apologized but said she had to let me go. I tried not to rejoice openly in front of her.
I spent this afternoon re-doing Natalie's room. I never actually finished it before she was born. Sure, it had pink paint on the walls and some furniture. But it didn't have anything on the walls. I rearranged the furniture and put pictures and stuff up. I like it better now. I would show pictures, but she's sleeping in there. It's not very nice to barge in, flip on the light, and start snapping pictures. Better to leave sleeping children lie.
