I have recently gotten the couponing bug. It's REALLY bad. I joined an online coupon board a couple of weeks ago and discovered the thrill of shopping at CVS. Long story made short. This 1st picture is of tonight's shopping trip. Just guess how much I spent (look below picture for the answer):

The answer is 31 cents. Yup! This picture includes a 12 pack of coke, 2 things of make-up, 4 boxes of Playtex tampons (blush), 4 toothpastes, 1 dental floss, 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, 2 hand sanitizers, and 24 jars of babyfood. Not too shabby if I say so myself!
Basically they're doing a promo this month. You get Extra Cash Back (ECB from here on out) for certain purchases. It's unlimited for certain items this month. Basically you buy stuff up front, then get a store credit 2 days later. If you use coupons, you still get the full retail value as a store credit. Sooooo...I've been shopping ever 2 days for a week or so now. My store credit keeps getting better, and I keep stockpiling toiletries. Here's a picture of my past week's purchases:
That's a whole buttload of stuff for about $35. I now have $65 or so for more shopping. If you can't make it out, this is what's in the picture:
- Playtex sport tampons - 12 boxes
- Kotex Maxis - 9 bags
- Carefree - 4 bags
- Toothpaste - 14 tubes
- Toothbrushes - 2 electric, 9 children/baby
- Dental Floss - 1
- Act Mouthwash - 2 bottles
- Coke, 12 Pack - 1
- Make-up - 2 nail polishes, 1 lipstick
- Aleve Pain Medicine - 5 boxes
- Theraflu - 4 bottles
- Shampoo - 6 bottles
- Conditioner - 4 bottles
- Purell Hand Sanitizer - 8 bottles (8 oz each)
- Gerber Size 2 Babyfood - 24 jars
I'm addicted. So sue me. Just please...don't do an intervention on me yet. There are 13 days left of the sale! My goal is to be stocked through menopause.
